ESG is enormously important to us and we are constantly improving what we do. Our progress to date includes the following:

 Environmental

•  We  now operate as a fully virtual company to minimise our carbon footprint.  

• We have been using Zoom and Teams for some years.

• Where we can we use the telephone due to its low levels of environmental impact.

• We adopt a “virtual first” policy minimising travel where we can.

• Our only company vehicles are electric.

• We use energy efficient technologies and are currently trying to find an appropriate way of measuring our carbon impact.

 Social

• We are founder members and Derek Southall chairs www.litig.org a non-profit organisation specifically designed to support senior professionals involved directly in all aspects of the implementation, use and support of Legal IT systems. Litig’s purpose is the driving of innovation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.

• Derek serves on the Advisory Board of the Institute of Global Innovation, a multidisciplinary group of around 350-400 academics who are working to solve the world’s biggest problems. The Institute for Global Innovation Advisory Board - University of Birmingham.

• We have raised and donated $15000 to buy 30 laptops for a computer lab for the Joshua Foundation to help 30 underprivileged children in Tanzania. Tanzania Update: Hyperscale Group Supports the Joshua Foundation — Hyperscale Group Limited.

• We serve on the Advisory Board of Aston University Law School and have supported their graduate placement scheme. We fund the education of five children for the Joshua Foundation, our nominated charity as well as other charitable giving.

• We also sponsor Maddie in her efforts to become a Paralympian Athlete: Meet Maddie….Hyperscale Group are Proud to Sponsor the Superb Maddie Down to Help her become a Future Paralympian — Hyperscale Group Limited.

• Members of our team have been long standing volunteers/have assisted with data entry in relation to the Covid-19 and Omicron vaccination and booster programme.

Governance

• We vet our suppliers carefully and only work with people who are fully independent.

• We are 100% independent and do not take commissions from technology suppliers.

•  We have strong processes and security protocols (both relating to technology and physical security).

•  We do not use any form of slave or child labour.

•  Our Directors personally oversee all financial transactions and we are properly audited.

•  We pay all of our suppliers within 7 days.

•  We leverage managed services with high levels of security and oversight.
